John Edward Kilfoy

Born in Ireland; then emigrated to Canada from Great Britain; Naturalization Record recorded in Greene County, Missouri in 1871.

Rosa Ann Boyland (Boylan) and John Edward Kilfoy are reported to have been married in Kingston, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada in 1855.

In 1875 John applied for a Land Patent in Missouri (see the request, and Plat Map below).

John is thought to have died in 1889 (see the headstone below).  Rosa is listed the 1900 census, living with her son Mike and his wife Sarah R.; and they have a 7 year old son Jesse A.

* Spelling of last name is thought to be Kilfoy, not Kilfoyl. There are also some census, and an emigration record, where the family name is spelled "Kilfoyle".
