Fountain Green is located northeast of Carthage, Illinois. Go east of Fountain Green 8/10 of one mile. On the right you will find an entrance between the fields. Field Entrance     The field entrance is not a road, merely a culvert crossing the ditch, and an opening between the two fields. It's the first one south of the house and road, on the right.     The cemetery is about 500 yards from the road, back in the overgrown area of the fields. Tall weeds and other growth hide the cemetery from view.

The sign that used to be on the entrance area is long gone with the passing of time. Only a few people still know of the cemetery's existence. Cemetery location     Find more out about this old cemetery at the following website: St. Simon Cemetery

UPDATE (April, 27, 06) I received an email form  the creator of the St. Simon Cemetery Website; I've been instructing you wrong on the direction from Fountain Green to the location of the cemetery. It is "East", not "North", of Fountain Green. Sorry, if I confused anyone. I was also informed that the new owner of the property has taken an interest in preserving the cemetery, and some volunteers have spent some time helping to clean up the cemetery.  The email did not mention if there has been a new sign placed along the roadside, marking the location into the area.
