New questions: We know George 1789, Jacob's son was born in Kentucky or Ohio. This indicates Jacob left the Winchester, VA. area prior to the death of George Ludwig Ulmer, his father who died in 1793 (per the Bible); did George Ludwig Ulmer and Elizabeth Majer Ulmer stay in the Winchester , VA. area till their deaths? Or did they move to the Butler Co., Ohio area with Jacob prior to George Ludwig's death in 1793. George Ludwig's Will of 1792 indicates he was aware of his grandson, born in 1789 (George), so was George Ludwig living in Winchester, VA., or Winchester, KY. in 1792? Elizabeth did not die until 1822 at age 86, per the Bible records. I'm wondering if she may have moved with Jacob to Butler, Co. Ohio before 1807? But she may have had other sons (Aaron Ulmer?), or daughters, to help care for her in her old age who stayed in Virginia, or Kentucky, near her?
Who is the Aaron Ulmer listed in the Butler Co., VA. 1783 tax records? (A brother to Jacob?)
Is this the Pitman family, where Jacob left his discharge papers, related to the Levi Pitman who later kept a diary for 50 years?
