Hosea H. Reed was born June 14, 1817 in Montgomery County, Virginia. He was the son of Jonathan "John" Reed and Rebecca Elizabeth Conner; both parents were born in Loudoun Co., Virginia. Hosea married Susan McVicker on June 26, 1840 in Wabash County, Indiana. He died on Feb. 16, 1858 in Wabash Co., Indiana. Susan McVicker was born on March 8, 1823 in Butler County Ohio. She was the daughter of Samuel McVicker and Rachel Sutton. Susan died May 20, 1857 in Wabash County, Indiana.
