The 10 Children Of George Ulmer & Elizabeth Wardell

George Ulmer and Elizabeth Wardell had ten (10) children. They are listed below. I have also listed some of their grandchildren on this page.   1.  Thomas G. Ulmer - (First child of George Ulmer and Elizabeth Wardell) born, April 18, 1816 in Clark, Ind.. Died, 25 Jan., 1898. He married Sarah Jane McCullough. (She was also known as Sally) Read more about Sarah here.     Thomas G. Ulmer and Sarah Jane McCullough had the following children. (1.) George McCullough Ulmer - Born, Jan. 7, 1840. Jennett (or Gennett ) Thompson Ulmer -  Born, Jan. 4, 1845. (1850 census shows spelling as Gennette) She married Samuel Lutz, Sept. 20, 1866. She died, Feb. 11, 1920. She is buried in Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, Mo.. Samuel Lutz was born Feb. 24,1840 in Knox Co., Ohio. He died Dec. 21, 1921 in Nodaway Co., Mo.. He is buried in Hopkins, Mo. Cemetery. Jennett and Samuel Lutz had no children. Her niece, Sadie, (daughter of Jennett's brother, George McCullough Ulmer) is listed in one census as their child. This is a census mistake. (3.) James W. Ulmer -  Born, Feb 18, 1848 in Scott Co., Ind.. Died, Feb. 19, 1923 in St. Joseph.  James is buried in Hopkins, MO. Cemetery. He married Ritchie Endimile Sturgeon, May 5, 1870 in Nodaway Co., Mo.. She was born April 13, 1853 in Morgan Co., Indiana. She died April 3, 1932 in Nodaway Co., Mo.. Click here for the children of James W. Ulmer. 2. Louisa Jane Ulmer - (Second child of George Ulmer and Elizabeth Wardell) - Born, March 22, 1818. (I have no other information) 3. Jacob C. Ulmer - (Third child of George Ulmer and Elizabeth Wardell) - Born, Aug 28, 1820 in Scott County, Ind.. Died, 1888 in Pickering, Mo.. He married Eliza Ellen Summers, Nov. 30, 1843 in Scott County, Ind.. Eliza Ellen Summers was born in 1829, in Indiana, (ref. 1850 Census).      Jacob married a second time to Burnettie Richey, daughter of William Richey and Cynithia Ann Collings, on 10  Nov, 1857. Burnettie died on 11 May, 1914. She was 72 and is buried in Meridian, Ada Co., Ind.. (Read more about Burnettie Richey's ancestral line and the Collings family here.) Jacob C. Ulmer and Burnettie Richey had the following children: Frances Marion Ulmer -  Born, Jan. 28, 1859 - Died, Apr.14, 1913 in Maryville, Mo.. Frances married Mary Ella Majers, on 29 Jul., 1879, in Nodaway Co., Mo.. She was born 28 Aug., 1856 in Page Co., IA.. Robert W. Ulmer - (Fourth child of George Ulmer and Elizabeth Wardell) -  Born, April 30, 1823. He died February 25, 1874 and is buried in Zoah Christian Church Cemetery, Scott County, Indiana. Robert married Rachel C. Pierson April 03, 1845 in Scott County, Indiana. Rachel was born in 1827.    They had the following children; Henry C. Ulmer, born, 1846 - Louisa Jane Ulmer, born, 1847 - Sarah Ulmer, born, 1849, and George Thomas Ulmer, born 1854 Listed below is more information on these four children. Robert and Rachel had the following children: 1. Henry C. Ulmer b: 1846 died: March 01, 1906. Henry married Abagail Whitson, November 23, 1886 in Scott County, Indiana. Abagail was born in 1853/54 Abagail Whitson b: 1853  died: 10/30/1927, Age: 74 yrs. From their headstone: Bethel-Blocher Methodist Church Cemetery. Lexington Township, Scott County, Indiana: ULMER, Abigail W. Died: 10/30/1927, Age: 74 yrs. ULMER, Henry C. Died: 3/1/1906, Age: 60 yrs. Co. D, 52nd Ind. Vol. Inf., Civil War James W. 8/29/1869-1/31/1903, son of H. C. & A. Children of Henry C. Ulmer & Abagail Whitson: William Ulmer b: Abt. 1870 d: February 05, 1903. James W. Ulmer b: Aug. 29, 1869 d: Jan 31, 1903 Rachael C. Ulmer.b: 1872 d: Unknown George W. Ulmer b: 1878 d: Unknown Nancy Ellen Ulmer b: 1889 in Scott Co., Indiana. Nancy married Clyde Raymond Field. He was born June 25, 1877 in Jefferson Co., Indiana. Nancy died Oct. 1, 1975 in Jefferson Co., Indiana. Clyde died Oct 21, 1954 in Jefferson Co., Indiana. Children of Nancy Ulmer & Clyde R. Field : Evert Graham Field b: Aug. 9, 1914 in Lexington, Scott Co., Indiana. d: Feb. 15, 1949 in Marion Co., Indiana. 2. Louisa Jane Ulmer, born, 1847.  She married Robert E Woolley, May 11, 1869. 3, Sarah Ulmer, born, 1849. 4. George Thomas Ulmer, born, 1851. 5. Sarah A. Ulmer - (Fifth child of George Ulmer and Elizabeth Wardell) - Born, Nov. 23, 1825. She married George M. Johnson  Dec. 24, 1840 in Scott County, Indiana. George was born May 3, 1819. They had a daughter, Elizabeth M. Johnson, born in 1845. Elizabeth, their daughter, died in 1922. I have no knowledge of her being married. Sarah A.(Ulmer) Johnson died, June19, 1898. George M. Johnson died, May 16, 1889. Sarah, George, and Elizabeth are all buried in Zoah Christian Church Cemetery, in Scott County, Indiana. 6. Joseph S. Ulmer - (Sixth child of George Ulmer and Elizabeth Wardell) - Born, Dec 3, 1829, in Scott County Ind. 7. George G. Ulmer - (Seventh child of George Ulmer and Elizabeth Wardell) - Born, May 4, 1832, Vienna Twp, Scott County, Indiana - Died, Sep. 9, 1890. 8. Thomas E. Ulmer - (Eighth child of George Ulmer and Elizabeth Wardell)- Born, 1833. NOTE: Little is known about this child. He is found listed in the 1850 census, at the age of "17". However, I've not found any other records pertaining to him. It is unknown if he died shortly after the census, or later had a family, as well as descendants. 9.. Charles B. Ulmer - (Ninth child of George Ulmer and Elizabeth Wardell)- Born, Nov 19, 1834. 10. Mary Ann Ulmer - (Tenth child of George Ulmer and Elizabeth Wardell) - Born, Oct 23, 1836. She married John Wesley Clark, March 19 1861. John was born January 4, 1839. He died July 24, 1888. Mary Ann died March 27, 1914. They are buried in Zoah Christian Church Cemetery, Scott County, Indiana. NOTE: Mary's middle name has also been listed as "Alice". However, the 1850 census list it as "Ann".  John was the son of James Clark, born January 2, 1811 in Virginia. He died April 5, 1888. His mother Martha Ann (maiden name unknown)Clark was born December 18, 1813 in Pennsylvania. She died February 6, 1896. James and Martha Ann Clark are buried in Zoah Christian Church Cemetery, Scott County, Indiana.  Other children that James and Martha had are; Elizabeth M. Clark b: 1844 in Ohio - Allan P. Clark b: 1836 in Indiana - John Wesley Clark ( listed above) - Amanda E. Clark b; 1841 in Indiana - Sarah Jane Clark b: 1843 in Indiana - Martha A. Clark b: 1846 in Indiana - William J.
